Alp Arslan Season 2 is the third season of “The Great Seljuks”.

The wait is over of the fans of Turkish historical drama series as drama maker has announced the Alp Arslan Season 2 release date. It will be premiered on September 19, 2022 on Turkish national Television TRT1, as per sources.

According to reports, the historical drama series Alp Arslan Season 2 Episode 1 will premiere on September 19, 2021 on TRT1. It will be available online with Urdu subtitle on the September 20, 2022.

The production team of the Alp Arslan has recently released the Alp Arslan Season 2 trailer and it has won the hearts of the fans. They also revealed the drama series will go on air soon on TRT1.

Alp Arslan History

The historical drama series The Great Seljuk season 2 and 3 is based on the Sultan Alp Arslan history. Alp Arslan became the second sultan of the Great Seljuk Empire on April 27, 1064 after the death of his uncle Sultan Tughril Beg. 

Alp Arslan defeated Byzantine army at Malazgirt in 1071 and captured the Emperor Romanos IV Diogenes.

Caesar Romanos  not only paid ransom and tribute, but also married his daughter to the Sultan’s son give the territories of Armenia and Georgia to Seljuks.

Alp Arslan first annexed Herat and the Mawral Canal to his territory, then defeated the Fatimid Caliph Abū Tamīm Maʿad al-Mustanṣir billah and made Mecca and Medina part of the Seljuk empire.

Alp Arslan brought the Seljuks to their peak, the Seljuk Empire stretched from China to the Mediterranean on one side and from Aden to Khwarizm and Bukhara on the other, while only the Seljuks ruled from Central Asia to Mesopotamia.

The great Seljuk Empire was probably the last empire which unites the Muslim world at one center.
