PM Imran khan announced Tamgha i Shujaat for Malik Adnan as he tried to save Priyantha in Sialkot lynching incident.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday announced that the man who tried saving the Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara during the Sialkot lynching incident will be awarded the “Tamgha i Shujaat”.

Tamgha i Shujaat – The second-highest civil award for bravery bestowed by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan paid tribute to Malik Adnan and praised him for his courage and bravery.

Priyantha Kumara, a manager at a Sialkot factory, was lynched and set on fire by an angry mob on Friday over blasphemy allegations.

Several videos of the incident have gone viral on social media in which angry people was seen torturing and burning the body of Priyantha and chanting slogans.

One of videos that went viral on social media shows a man wearing a red sweater trying to save Priyantha Kumara from the mob.

The man was identified as Malik Adnan, colleague of Priyantha.

Malik Adnan formad a protective shield with his own body to save Kumara life and endure the beating of the mob for a while.
